BNP Paribas Asset Management (‘BNPP AM’) announces the appointment of Elisa Ori as Country Head Italy, effective 1 June 2025. She will succeed Marco Barbaro following his planned retirement at the end of May 2025. Marco retires after a long and successful career spanning 36 years in the industry, including 25 years within the Group BNP Paribas.
With over 30 years’ experience in the financial services and asset management industry, Elisa has worked alongside Marco since 1999, assuming the role of Head of Sales in 2019. She will succeed Marco at the time of his retirement. Marco will support Elisa’s transition in her new role as Country Head Italy and she will remain responsible for sales activities in Italy.

Biography
Elisa Ori
Elisa is currently Head of Sales Italy for BNPP AM. She joined BNPP AM in 1999 as Sales for Institutional Clients becoming Head of Wholesale & Institutional clients from 2018 and Head of Sales from 2019, in charge of business development with institutional and wholesale clients and distribution networks outside the BNP Paribas Group. Prior to that, Elisa held positions at JP Morgan and Paribas in the Securities Services division. Elisa read economy at Luigi Bocconi University (Milan).
