Bio

Richard Barwell has been Head of Macro Research and Investment Strategy at BNP Paribas Asset Management since February 2020. Prior to that he managed the Macro Research Team and he joined the company as a Senior Economist in 2015.

Before joining BNP Paribas Asset Management, Richard was a Senior Economist at RBS between 2010 and 2015. Prior to this, he worked at the Bank of England between 2001 and 2010 in various roles within the Monetary Analysis and Financial Stability Directorates.

Richard holds a PhD in Economics from the London School of Economics and has written several textbooks on economic policy.

Richard is based in London.
